According to her biography on the Wright State University website, “Dr. Meyer, obtained her Ph.D. from Miami University and her law degree from DePaul University College of Law. Her research has an interdisciplinary focus incorporating legal, feminist, criminal justice, psychological and sociological perspectives. She has published three books and numerous chapters and journal articles. Dr. Meyer has been invited to present on a variety of topics such as the social construction of motherhood, politics and reproductive rights of women, and maternal filicide. Dr. Meyer is a nationally recognized expert on mothers who kill their children and has appeared on or been quoted in national and international news shows, newspapers and magazines. Dr. Meyer also enjoys collaborative relationships with faculty from many different departments within Wright State University and other schools and agencies in the community.
