The true crime program Dark Minds follows crime author M. William Phelps and John Kelly, a criminal profiler. They tackle old cases thought committed by serial killers. In addition to the expertise offered by Phelps and Kelly, they make use of another source – an anonymous serial killer currently serving multiple life sentences. They call the murderer “13”, and he offers his own opinions on the cold cases under investigation. While the series is certainly dark and it can take you to some unexpected places, the show is great to watch for anyone who has an interest in criminology and the possibility of attending forensic psychology schools.
